Kristen Bonner
Kristen Bonner, MPHA Representative to Confluence and MPHA Public Health Nurse Section Chair, works to elevate the role of public health nursing and strengthen connections across Montana’s public health community. In her role at RiverStone Health, she oversees the Communicable Disease, Immunization, HIV Services, WIC, and Family Health Services teams, ensuring coordinated and high-quality services that support the well-being of families throughout the region. A nurse by profession, Kristen is passionate about supporting the public health workforce and fostering collaboration across the state. Outside of work, she enjoys umpiring girls fast-pitch softball!

Melissa Henderson, MPH, CPH
Melissa, MPHA Representative to Confluence and MPHA Vice President of Region 3, is the Senior Director of the Community Health and Safety Division at RiverStone Health, where she oversees health promotion, systems improvement, and environmental health teams. Her work focuses on policy, environmental and systems change, and supporting collective impact coalitions. Melissa enjoys serving on the board because it allows her to learn from peers across the state and collaborate to strengthen Montana’s public health workforce and community impact. A fun fact: in high school, she worked at the first-ever McDonald’s drive-through in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Emilie Sayler, MPH, MPA, CPHA
Emilie, AMPHO Representative to Confluence and Public Health Director of Madison County, brings a strong background in nonprofit finance and healthcare revenue, with skills grounded in administration and fiscal management. Through years of community volunteer work, Emilie has built meaningful relationships and collaborative partnerships, an aspect of public health she finds especially rewarding. As a board member, she is inspired by the organization’s continued growth and the collective impact made through collaboration among staff, board, and members. A lifelong, fourth-generation Montanan, Emilie loves to travel and explore new places, but proudly calls Montana home.

Kira Flagstead Dierickx, R.S.
Kira, MEHA President-Elect and Representative to Confluence, is a Public Health Sanitarian with the MT DPHHS Environmental Health & Food Safety Section. She oversees product recalls statewide and conducts contracted FDA manufacturing inspections, along with pool, body art, and retail food inspections and trainings. Kira also leads communication efforts for her section, including social media, podcasts, and infographics. She enjoys serving on the board because it allows her to connect with sanitarians across Montana and support the next generation of environmental health professionals. Outside of work, she unwinds with horror books and podcasts; ask her if you need a recommendation for a good scare!

Stefanie Harrington
Stefanie, AMPHO Representative to Confluence, is the Director of the Carter County Public Health Department, where she leads a small, multifaceted team serving a frontier community and takes on a wide range of roles to meet local needs. Her work spans operations, strategy, and community engagement, with a focus on creative problem-solving, resource development, and implementing sustainable public health initiatives. Stefanie values serving on the AMPHO Board as an opportunity to invest in Montana’s public health leadership and bring a frontier perspective to statewide conversations. She lives on a ranch with her husband and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors, often alongside their three dogs.

Jenna Fisher, RS
Jenna Fisher is a Public Health Sanitarian and serves as Confluence Vice President representing MEHA. She is currently the Retail Food Program Lead at DPHHS, bringing over five years of experience as a local sanitarian and additional statewide environmental health expertise since joining the state in 2022. Jenna enjoys serving on the board for the opportunity to see the bigger picture of public health work, recognizing that while the field has many branches, they all contribute toward a shared goal of protecting community health. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, especially on lake days, at hot springs, and cheering on travel volleyball.

Amy Shaw
Amy, Confluence Treasurer and Representative to AMPHO, is the Director of the Pondera County Health Department. With a background in psychology, she brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to public health, designing programs that are effective, culturally responsive, and grounded in lived experience. Amy values her role on the AMPHO Board as an opportunity to build relationships across the state and advocate for the unique needs of rural and local public health. She has lived in Conrad for the past 11 years with her husband and three children and enjoys spending time with her family and going on adventures together.

Sadie Overlie, R.S.
Sadie, MEHA Representative, is a Registered Sanitarian whose work spans body art inspection, wholesale and cottage food regulation, farmers markets and the Montana Local Food Choice Act, and Chronic Wasting Disease monitoring. She enjoys serving on the board because it allows her to collaborate with Environmental Health Specialists across the state to strengthen and advance the field. Outside of work, Mercedes shares her home with a Sphynx (hairless) cat named Lucille Bald.
